With the free add-on NoSquint, you can control the text zoom independent of other objects and separately for each website.
- Download this add-on from ‘https://urandom.ca/nosquint’, you can control the text zoom independent of other objects and separately for each website.
- For installation, click on the website, on the link ‘Add to firefox’ or open the concerned XPI-file with Firefox.
- Setting up the add-on must be confirmed with a click on ‘Install now’ and finally restart the browser.
- Now, first all pages are enlarged.
- To configure the add-on, select ‘Tools | Add-ons’ in the Firefox menu, then select »NoSquint« in the list of add-ons and click on »Settings«.
- In the »Options« tab, change the default value ‘Default full page zoom level’ back to ‘100 %’ or enter any desired value.
- Select the »Primary zoom method« in the combination field, such as the fast zoom setting by turning the mouse wheel while pressing [Ctrl].
- With the standard setting ‘Full page zoom’, you can customize the Website overall in the size, while, with the ‘Text Zoom’, you can only change the font size.
- Through the dialog settings, a separated regulation is possible.
- The other options need not be customized. Later you can change the zoom setting of a website considerably faster, by holding the [Ctrl] key pressed and turning the mousewheel.
- For separate control of text- and page zoom, click in the status bar of the browser on the zoom symbol.
- With the two slide controllers, select the desired values in percent.
- The tool then saves this setting automatically for the respective current domain of the website.
- In case of a new visit in future, you can then see the pages immediately in the customized display.
